Well as most of you know I am a huge cowboy fan and would like to see them win them all, but we also all know that is not going to happen. I personally put the blame on Jessica Simpson as she has zapped the mojo from Romo. I could go on forever about this so lets get to my top three games:
Steelers – Browns
Since the Poop Stains came back to the NFL (and the Steelers are glad to have them back), Pittsburgh is 16-3 against Cleveland including 8-1 by the lake (won the last 7). The closest game in the Steelers 9 game winning streak over the Browns was last November (3 pts).
Taking a look at that game: Total Yards – Steelers 401, Browns 163. Derek Anderson was 16-35, but had three short TD passes. Jamal Lewis 16 carries for 35 yards.
The reason the game was close was Josh Cribbs. He had a 100 Yd KO return for a TD, and a few other returns that set up Cleveland touchdowns. Cribbs says he will play Sunday Night, but I really don’t think the Steelers care. Take a look at what they did to Andre Davis last Sunday.
Scores L9:
PIT 31, CLE 28
PIT 34, CLE 7*
PIT 27, CLE 7
PIT 24, CLE 20*
PIT 41, CLE 0*
PIT 34, CLE 21
PIT 24, CLE 10*
PIT 34, CLE 23
PIT 13, CLE 6*
* Games played in Cleveland
Last week, Tony Romo completed 24 of 32 (75%). For all the “improvements” the Browns made in the offseason they looked like the same loose, crappy defense. Without Sean Jones, I give the Browns zero percent chance of stopping one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Listen, the Steelers have been listening all offseason, to the pundits say that the Browns were now the team to beat in the AFC North. I’m pretty sure you have to beat the champs…to be the champs. This is a statement game, and it would be huge to put the Browns in an 0-2 hole to start the season.
Willie gets loose for 122 yards and a couple of scores.
Big Ben goes 17 of 21 for 205 yards and 3 scores (Ward, Holmes, and Miller)
Anderson throws two scores (Winslow and Edwards) and goes 17 of 41 for 173 yards and two picks.
Jamal Lewis 17 carries for 40 yards.
Steelers 41, Browns 17
PS – Ben Roethlisberger’s record in the state of Ohio 9-0
Arizona – Miami
Arizona’s D is way underrated! They have been drafting studs for the past 3 years. If Miami, won I would probably say upset of the week (Rams will not beat the G-Men).
Cards 27, Phins 13
New York – St.Louis
I really like this spot as the giants we all know how well they play on the road but i look for them to shore up alot of the things that they didn’t do right in there home opener and expect a sharper more efficent offense here and with this rams team well there should be no reason why there offense is not somewhat better being back at home so we will just see……….
N.Y.GIANTS 31
ST. LOUIS 20
